Sevilla FC Fixtures Tickets in Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium

Inaugurated on September 7, 1958 in a friendly match against Real Jaén, its construction responded to the new demands of soccer, as it required comforts and capacities that the old Nervión field could not satisfy.
The idea of its construction had been raised two decades earlier, at which time the purchase of ownership of the Nervión field and an adjoining plot where the new stadium would be built was negotiated. At that time, D. Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, the main supporter of the project, held the presidency.
In 1954, Sevilla FC held a competition for ideas for its construction, which was won by Manuel Muñoz Monasterio, who had raised years before the Santiago Bernabeu and Mestalla. His proposal -ultimately approved- consisted of a stadium with capacity for 70,329 spectators.
