Castelldefels Castle is the iconic symbol of the city. Until now closed to the public, it opens for the first time with a proposal to visit the castle itself and Piratía, an interactive attraction to learn more about piracy in the area.
Built in the 10th century, it was built on Iberian and Roman remains and for centuries it was used to control the territory, as a defense fortress against Arab invaders and against pirate attacks.
The visit with audio guide throughout the Castle allows you to relive the different eras from its construction to the high society festivities that Manuel Girona celebrated.
You will learn about the history of Mediterranean piracy through Piratía, an interactive and immersive experience where piracy is narrated through audiovisual, scenic, playful and interactive elements.
The visit ends on the terrace with spectacular views of Castelldefels, the sea and the mountains that surround it, it becomes an essential space at any time of the year. Its pleasant gardens will be the perfect area for walking.
